  • 3 tablespoons liquid honey Adds sweetness that caramelizes
  • 1 clove minced garlic Adds aromatic depth to the marinade
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust to suit your preference
For the Skewers
  • 2 large chicken breasts Cut into small pieces for skewering

Method

Preparation
  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into fairly small pieces, trimming off any excess fat.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine yellow mustard, honey, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces and stir to coat well.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably longer for deeper flavor.
Grilling
  1. Oil grill grates and preheat BBQ to high heat.
  2. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and pour any leftover marinade over them.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-high and grill the skewers for about 15 minutes, turning every few minutes until cooked through.

Notes

For added flavor, consider including chopped fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro in the marinade. Optionally, add bell peppers or zucchini between the chicken pieces on the skewers for extra crunch.
