Ingredients

Noodles and Sauce
  • 2 packages 2 (3 oz) pkgs ramen noodles (discard the seasoning packets)
  • 2 tsp sesame oil Brings a beautifully nutty aroma
  • 1 tsp minced garlic Adds depth and richness
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Delivers umami flavor
  • 1 tsp brown sugar Offers a sweet contrast
  • 2 tsp sriracha sauce Provides a perfect kick of heat

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions, making sure to discard the seasoning packets. Once cooked, drain the water and set the noodles aside.
  2. In a small skillet, add the sesame oil and heat it over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 60 seconds, continuously stirring to prevent burning.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and add the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. Whisk together until evenly blended.
  4. Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet with the sauce and toss until they are thoroughly coated.
  5. Transfer the coated sesame garlic ramen noodles to a bowl and enjoy them warm, optionally garnished with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, or a soft-boiled egg.

Notes

Adjust the spice by reducing the amount of sriracha for a milder dish or increase it for more heat. Use freshly minced garlic for enhanced flavors. Consider adding protein like chicken, tofu, or shrimp for extra heartiness.
