Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken The star of the dish, this lean and juicy protein serves as the perfect base.
  • ⅓ cup panko bread crumbs Provides a delightful texture that contrasts beautifully with the tender chicken.
  • 2 Tablespoons full-fat mayonnaise Adds moisture and enhances flavor.
  • ½ Tablespoon garlic paste Infuses the patties with savory warmth.
  • ½ Tablespoon onion powder Adds subtle sweetness and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Transforms the flavor profile with a hint of smokiness.
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional ingredient for those who like a little heat.
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped Adds a refreshing touch of color and flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • as needed Olive oil or cooking spray Used to coat the air fryer basket.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, garlic paste, onion powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), chopped parsley, and season generously with salt and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 6-8 equal portions and form each portion into patties about 1 cm thick. Make a shallow dent in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (185°C) and prepare the basket with olive oil or cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, dimple side up. Cook for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serving
  1. Remove the patties from the basket and let them rest for about 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to experiment with spices, make ahead by refrigerating or freezing patties, and always use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
