Method
Preparation
- Start by threading the chicken tenders onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Place the skewers in a large dish or baking pan and set aside.
Make the Marinade
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey BBQ rub and beer until thoroughly blended.
Marinate the Chicken
- Reserve about ⅓ cup of the marinade for later use.
- Brush the remaining marinade generously over the chicken skewers.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Grilling
- Preheat your charcoal or gas grill.
- Place the skewers directly on the grill and sear the chicken for about one minute per side.
- Brush one side of the skewers with reserved marinade, close the grill lid, and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Flip the skewers, baste again with marinade, close the lid, and grill for another 5 minutes.
- Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Serving
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
To avoid overcrowding on skewers, ensure there's space between each piece of chicken. Feel free to customize the BBQ rub with spices like garlic powder or paprika. If grilling isn't possible, broil or oven bake at high heat as an alternative.
