Preparation
- Start by preheating your oven to 400°F.
- Cook the dry farfalle pasta according to package directions, aiming for maximum cooking time—an extra minute or two more than al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander. Do not rinse. Transfer the hot pasta to a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss gently.
- While the pasta is still warm, sprinkle the Parmesan mixture over it and stir to ensure every noodle is coated.
Baking
- Line two half-sheet pans with parchment paper and spread the pasta in an even layer on one pan.
- Place the first pan in the oven for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, flip each pasta piece over and place the second pan in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Once the second pan is done, return the first pan to the oven for an additional 12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the chips cool on a wire rack.
Serving
- Transfer the cooled pasta chips to a serving bowl. Optional: sprinkle with more grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve with sides of pasta sauce, creamy Alfredo sauce, or zesty pesto sauce for dipping.
Notes
Allow the pasta chips to cool completely for enhanced crispiness. Experiment with different seasonings for variety. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 48 hours.
